The Food Nanny!
Have any of you seen the "Food Nanny" show on the BYU channel? I have seen it a few times and found it really great! (I quit watching Rachel Ray cuz her food is awesome, but not for little kids, or myself.) The Food Nanny provides help for real families and food that your kids would actually eat. She promotes having mealtime together and the benefits that can provide. You can create your menu plan on her site and even print recipes from there. She suggests having themed nights, like Mondays are comfort food nights, Tuesdays are Italian, Fridays are pizza, etc. Then you input the recipes onto each day and print your plan. This helps your family to know what to expect for dinner and to make it easy on yourself to know what's coming up and to shop for your two weeks worth of food so you aren't shopping so much. I wasn't totally commited to the idea at first, but I think that I am going to do it and be more organized with dinner. Anything to reduce stress and conflict in my life, right? Her site is www.byutv.org/foodnanny/ If you register, we can exchange recipes and add to our menus. Leave feedback if you registered on her site so we can recipe swap. Happy cooking!
